Choices DVIP was established in 2001 by Michael
and Christine Crowe. The program was developed out of a desire
to provide batterer’s intervention services with a clear
focus on the safety of victims, especially the victimization
of women and children. Choices DVIP utilizes motivational
interviewing, utilizes a competency- based curriculum, and
is an evidence-based program. Choices DVIP currently operates
groups from Monday through Saturday in two locations, and
offers:
- Men’s Domestic Violence Intervention
in English, Spanish and Russian
- Women’s Offenders Program in
English and Spanish
- Parenting Programs in English, Spanish
and Russian
- Drug & Alcohol Services in English
and Spanish
Choices DVIP offers sliding fees scales for
all domestic violence and substance abuse groups, and offers community service
as an option to assist in payment of fees for some programs. Choices DVIP also
offers DUI, Levels I and II Alcohol & Drug Program. Choices
DVIP does not accept insurance in any of its programs.
Choices DVIP is a member of local Family Violence
Coordinating Councils in several counties, provides outreach
and education on both a state and local level, and supports
the Hands & Words Are Not For Hurting Curriculum in schools.
